- Drives purchasing practices to assigned commodity management and applies strong knowledge to ensure products meet quality, delivery, and specification requirements at the lowest possible costs.
- Identifies new suppliers, negotiates price, analyzes trends, and expedites orders within functional area of responsibilities.
- Lead VG Korea Purchasing team and manage and oversee the procurement of all goods, supplies, and services.
- Drive Cost out, working capital improvement in alignment with Profit Plan
- Alignment with Global Category managers for regional priorities and deploy the strategies.
- Manage the design, implementation, and execution of robust sourcing processes and strategies, leveraging Eaton tools and processes to ensure Eaton achieves the most favorable prices, quality, lead time, and on-time performance
- Support from SCM side to win new business for VG Korea/ NPD projects
- Work with Indirect function team and Logistics teams to drive cost out
- Attract, select, develop, train, coach, appraise and motivate team members for key line and staff positions in the function
- Applies skillful negotiations with internal and external suppliers; problem solves and settles disputes Develop win-win price resolutions, and creates positive relations with tact, diplomacy, and good judgment. Defines and applies complex data analysis and analytical tools for process improvements.
- Drives process channel knowledge for acquiring materials and/or services in order to ensure delivery requirements for commodities and/or service customers.
- Creates innovative approaches for utilizing and applying project management tools and techniques for procurement applications.
- Prepares reports to correspondence for use by Eaton SCM professionals.
